The CCESC, in partnership with the CCCTC, CCESC Business Advisory Council, Congressman Mike Rulli, and local businesses, was proud to sponsor this year’s Explore Your Future event. Select high school sophomores from across Columbiana County visited two local businesses to explore career opportunities and learn about the skills needed to succeed after high school.

The CCESC, in partnership with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Columbiana County Sheriff's Department, the Salem Police Department, and the Salem Walmart were proud to sponsor the Cram the Cruiser event on Sunday, October 4th at the Salem Walmart. School supplies and toiletries were collected for students in Columbiana County and will be distributed to each of the districts. Cash donations will be used for future student and family needs. We thank everyone who donated supplies and made a cash donation to the event!
(Lisbon, OH)—10/1/2026—Columbiana County Educational Service Center announced today that it will join the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy in recognizing National Disability Employment Awareness Month, an annual awareness campaign that takes place in October. The purpose of National Disability Employment Awareness Month is to bring attention to disability employment and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America's workers with disabilities. The 2026 theme is "Celebrating Value and Talent.”
The history of NDEAM traces back to 1945, when it began as a weeklong recognition of people with physical disabilities. Later, NDEAM expanded to a full month and evolved to include all people with disabilities, including those with mental health conditions and other nonobvious disabilities, acknowledging the importance of increasing their access to jobs.
Reflecting this year's theme, throughout the month, Columbiana County Educational Service Center plans to hold weekly mentoring programs for students with disabilities to provide opportunities for them to learn about employment.

The Columbiana County ESC will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday, July 14th at 4:00 pm at 38720 Saltwell Rd.. The purpose of this special meeting is to consider the employment of a public employee. Following the executive session, the ESC Governing Board will reconvene into open session, where official action may be taken regarding the employment of the public employee.

Lunch Bunch:
Walnut Grove Playground was this year's Lunch Bunch service project. The students of the Lunch Bunch chose Walnut Grove Playground, an inclusive playground that depends on volunteers to up keep the facility as their service project this year. The Lunch Bunch students from Crestview Middle School along with ESC Occupational therapy and Speech therapy staff spent time cleaning up Walnut Grove Playground. After the playground clean up the students went to Pizza Hut for lunch.
