CCESC Drone Competiton
The CCESC Drone Competition was held at the CCCTC on May 2. Teams from Columbiana, East Palestine, Lisbon, and Wellsville participated. Piloting skills of the students were tested when they had to fly their drones under arch gates, over nets and a screen, then land on a cube. The Downdraft Maneuverability station required pilots to use the drones to herd ping pong balls into a goal. The Circuit Racing station challenged the drones to complete as many laps as possible through keyhole gates in three minutes. Finally, Capture the Flag matches were held using arduino/sonar powered LED beacons.
The winner of the competition was the team with the highest sum for their scores at the four stations.
